We are looking forward to a great summer season. After much uncertainty and unprecedented times, we at Thunder Mountain Lodge are determined to provide clean cabins for your enjoyment of the Grand Mesa. This past winter ended with less than average snow, and it is melting quickly. Deep Ward Lake is already unfrozen, and Alexander Lake is on its way to opening up as well.
Response to Covid-19
In order to provide a safe and clean cabin, we will be reducing the number of blankets in each cabin. This will greatly reduce the spread of germs and the amount of laundry we have to do when cleaning each cabin. We will provide sheets and one blanket per bed. We encourage you to bring your own blankets, but if that is not possible, we will have extra blankets in the office that you can use at no additional charge.
We are also able to provide contactless check-in. Simply pay for your cabin in advance and we will leave your cabin unlocked with the key inside. Please set this up in advance, and there is no need to come to the office.
We welcomed our son, Rosco Andrew, on May 1st. If you do need to come to the office, only one person at a time and please wear a mask. We are happy to come outside to talk to you if you do not have a mask. Just knock on the office door, and we will come out. Thank you for understanding!
